Anemos - Droogs 69-57

A strong game by Anemos who started very bad (2-11 after 3', 7-17 in 7') but recovered quickly with a 22-2 partial score to reach the ten point margin (29-19) a few minutes before half time. Based on their good defense and aggressive offense Anemos secured the win in a somewhat comfortable second half (48-35 in 30' and 69-57 final score).

Francesco had a very good game with 22 points and 3 three-pointers, while Yannis offered 10 points, Greg 9 points mostly on fast-break, and Pantelis 8 points with a lot of work in defense and rebounds (as always!). Tasos also contributed 6 points with a lot of rebounds as well, Vassilis 6 points in his second appearance, Dami 4 points in his debute and Ludo 4 points as well.

Nestle - Anemos 89-56

A good game for Anemos for 30 minutes (with the score at 60-51) ended in a bad loss with 89-56 from a better team. Anemos simply did not have enough players to compete with the taller Nestle team when the fouls and the fatigue kicked in.

Francesco lead in scoring with 14 points and Vassilis made a very promising debut with 7 points and a good presence in the front-line. In the same game Stelu made her first appearance as well helping a lot the backcourt to create better situations in offense with her passing and shooting. As always very important contribution from Pantelis in both sides of the court (and 9 points) and from Yannis who gives a lot of aggressiveness in the inside game (8 points). Ludo (6 points), Kostis (8 points), Manos (4 points) and coach Thanos contributed in this game as well.

The first round ended with 3 wins and 2 losses before Christmas:

The first round ends with Anemos having a positive 5-4 record, fighting for a position in the top 3 or 4 teams of the league. The team is getting better with the weekly trainings and if there are no more injuries Anemos will prove to be a difficult opponent for every team.
